"Teen Wolf" season 6 is capitalizing on Stiles' (Dylan O'Brien) missing in action status by making his predicament a plot driver for other notable characters in the show. And while it seems like his disappearance is now just slowly having an impact on his friends, a major persona in the Stilinski family made her great comeback in mysterious fashion.

Stiles' mom, Claudia (Joey Honsa), who has been dead for a decade now, returned to Beacon Hills in what could be a repercussion of her son being erased from everybody's memory. The ultimate question, however, is how this came to be as it has not yet been explained in the narrative of the show.

Show creator Jeff Davis, albeit not giving away anything on where they are going with Claudia's presence in "Teen Wolf's" final season, talked about what brought about the decision to bring her back.

"We really wanted to show what Sheriff Stilinski's [Linden Ashby] life would be like without Stiles," he told TVLine. "A long time ago, we thought, 'What if he loses Stiles, but gets something back in return? What if he gets his wife back? What does that mean? Where the f–k did she come from? How is this possible? That's a big part of the mystery, and we have a lot of fun with it."

The physical absence of Stiles does not also hinder any sort of development for his character as Davis added that fans are inching closer to finding out what his first name is after six seasons of the series. A hint of what is to come roots from Lydia (Holland Roden) receiving a message from the other side saying "mischief" with the executive producer confirming that the word means something.

"It's a clue, it's a definite clue," he teased. "That word was not chosen randomly."

Meanwhile, next week's episode titled "Sundowning" will have Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia and Malia (Shelley Hennig) actively searching for Stiles while Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and the rest try to keep everyone safe from the Ghost Riders.

"Teen Wolf's" sixth and final season airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
