Reports about Dylan O'Brien's accident on the set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" worried "Teen Wolf" fans for the fate of his character Stiles for the show's upcoming season. But showrunner Jeff Davis managed to find a way to use the actor's absence to write the chilling but interesting plot for season 6.

In a correspondence with Entertainment Weekly, the showrunner showed a page from the script of the premiere episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6. It centered on Stiles' last few moments before he got whisked away by the season's new big bad, the Ghost Riders.

Based on the script, the Ghost Riders will not spend their time killing people like the other villains. Yet their only interest is to eradicate someone's memory. In this case, the new big bad is bent on wiping everyone's memory of Stiles. But for some reason, Lydia (Holland Roden) continues to remember that Stiles exists. According to Davis, this simply proves that the long-time friends have something special between them. "We decided that this is the place to show that they've gone from a simple crush to friends to something deeper," the showrunner stated.

But the script did not explain why, out of all people, only Lydia managed to keep her memory of Stiles intact. It also did not reveal how long will the banshee's memory of her friend remains and how Stiles will return from the Ghost Riders' captivity.

On the other hand, Davis also mentioned that the student body of Beacon Hills, particularly Lydia, Scott (Tyler Posey), and Malia (Shelley Hennig), will realize that a huge part of their lives will be missing. "They each realize that something huge is missing in their life and they come to this eventual conclusion it might be a person," the showrunner said.

MTV will release the premiere episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6 on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
