'Teen Wolf' season 6 spoilers: Harry Styles rumors are not true

"Teen Wolf" fans are starting to worry about Dylan O'Brien's inclusion in season 6. The actor is on hiatus right now to recuperate from the injuries he sustained during the filming of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure."

There have been reports that he will be replaced by another actor. One persistent rumor is that this actor will be One Direction singer Harry Styles, whose surname is almost the same as the name of O'Brien's character on "Teen Wolf."

Talks about the British singer trying acting have been around for quite a while now. Just recently, a supposed interview with "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis popped up, where he claimed to be in talks with "people, director, agents" to bring Styles to "Teen Wolf" season 6.

"We do want Harry Styles on our show," Davis supposedly told  fansite Creative 123, adding that negotiations were reportedly being put in place.

This interview was confirmed fake by MTV. The network stated that Davis did not do an interview with the said fansite and that the "Drag Me Down" singer is not appearing in "Teen Wolf" season 6. That being said, Styles is not heading to Beacon Hills anytime soon.

As for O'Brien's role in "Teen Wolf" season 6, rumors claim that he will still reprise his role as Stiles in the series. However, like the "Maze Runner" film, the show might have to wait for him to fully recover in order to film his scenes.

This means that the "Teen Wolf" season 6 premiere might ultimately be delayed. However, for now, there aren't any indications of that yet.

Davis has long teased that there's a big storyline involving Stiles and Lydia in "Teen Wolf" season 6. If this is still on the cards even after considering O'Brien's condition, not only will Stiles be back, he will also play a big part in the new season.
