Fans of "Teen Wolf" have a reason to rejoice as the show's success might catapult it all the way through season 7.
Jeff Davis, the show's creator, is reportedly confident that the supernatural drama will continue well on for two more seasons. The creative mind behind the teen series also serves as the show's executive producer and head writer.
The show's current fifth season is on a brief hiatus following its mid-season finale, which will be returning to the small screen in January. But after the events of the season so far, fans can only imagine what the rest of the season has in store for them.
A promo video was released for the MTV series and it looks like a powerful threat in the form of an ancient werewolf will be making its debut soon.
Many rumors have taken over the Internet, but a few things are for sure to occur. Davis confirmed through an interview with Forbes that season 5B will definitely hold a ton of action, with many thrilling scenes that will definitely wow fans.
Although the teen drama will continue down the path of horror, it will also reportedly contain a fair amount of humor and romance. And unlike past episodes, season 5B will march along a more positive tone.
Also, despite speculations, "Teen Wolf" will not incorporate any vampires or zombies into its plot. After all, there are already other shows that deal with those creatures anyway.
But perhaps an even more compelling story is the possibility of a "Teen Wolf" movie, as Davis teased in the interview. He has shot down the idea of a "Teen Wolf" spinoff, so maybe the silver screen might prove to be more enticing for the writer.
However, it's not all good news. In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Davis has said that Scott's (Tyler Posey) resurrection won't come without consequences, with all possibilites being explored in the upcoming season 5B.
"Teen Wolf" season 5 will return on Jan. 5, 2016.
