"Teen Mom 2" is a reality show that's full of drama and heartbreaks with stars Leah Messer and Jenelle Evans getting their dose of heartbreaks recently. This time though, 23-year-old Kailyn Lowry will not be all too happy on Christmas as she will be celebrating the holiday without husband Javi Marroquin around.
While Messer and Evans dealt with their sour relationship with their respective partners, Lowry and Marroquin are nowhere in that category — it's just that the couple won't be together this Christmas because of Marroquin's deployment.
"Teen Mom 2" fans know very well that Marroquin is a member of the U.S. military.
A source for InTouch Weekly revealed that Lowry will be spending the holidays in Delaware before her 22-year-old husband leaves for a mission.
Nothing else about Marroquin's deployment has been shared, because the source noted that only family and close friends know about the details.
"Kailyn can't give out the specifics of his deployment. The military doesn't allow it. It's not easy, but they are handling it the best that they can," the source told the news outlet.
With Marroquin leaving, it would also be a tough time for their kids, two-year-old Lincoln and five-year-old Isaac.
"The boys don't really understand," the source added. Isaac, Marroquin's stepson and Lowry's child with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, knows that his stepdad is not going to be around for a while, but doesn't understand what it's really about.
Lowry and Marroquin are known for having endured many challenges in their married life, although they were previously rumored to be heading the path toward divorce.
An earlier report from Radar Online mentioned how Marroquin had changed the design for his tattoo, a "The Nightmare Before Christmas" theme, which then sparked speculations that he could be having troubles with his marriage.
InTouch Weekly also shared that Lowry has been spotted several times not wearing her ring.
Despite rampant divorce rumors, the two are pretty much together and will only say their temporary goodbyes to each other.
