"Switched at Birth" has been renewed for season 5, much to the delight of the flurry of viewers that follow the drama. ABC Family is proud and is confident of the original series, which, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is one of the network's highest-rating shows.
"Every season Switched at Birth continues to deliver fresh, relatable storylines that tackle important social issues, reflecting what our audience experiences daily," said ABC Family Executive Vice President for Programming and Development Karey Burke said in a statement.
Sharing the same amount of enthusiasm with the throng of fans of the Peabody award-winning drama, Burke said "We're excited to see where Lizzy will take these characters next." "Switched at Birth" season 5 should commence next year, in time for the network's rebranding as Free Form.
