Supernatural season 11 is on its winter break and fans will catch its return in January next year.

It won't be a long wait because the series will be back in Jan. 20, 2016 as seen on the promo trailer for the next episode.

In the promo trailer for episode 10 titled "The Devil in the Details," the show will bring a Christmas-themed episode, making it "Supernatural's" late holiday treat.

In the trailer, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) was seen expressing his enthusiasm to Rowena (Ruth Connell) as he opened his gift and got a figurine of Sam (Jared Padalecki). Later on, Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino), dressed as Santa, comes knocking at their door.

Meanwhile, Sam is still trapped in a cage in hell with Lucifer, which only means that his brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) is left to deal with The Darkness/Amara (Emily Swallow) alone.

The official synopsis for the episode may not have been released, but when the show returns it is likely that it will pick up from where it left off. The future episodes will likely show Dean continuing his mission to take down the Darkness, while his younger brother will try his best to get out of Lucifer's cage.

Meanwhile, Padalecki reveals to TV Line that episode 10 is one of his favorites in the series, along with the fall finale episode.

"I love the twists and turns — none of which I can probably say without getting out of here alive," he said, as reported by the news outlet.

Padalecki also said that his character and Dean are determined to take down Amara for good. It will be one important mission for the brothers that they should complete together.

The return of the series will also give focus on Rowena's backstory, as revealed by Connell herself. In an interview with Nerdist, the actress said that episode 10 will feature more backstory.

She also said that fans will finally figure out why Rowena is "the way she is."

"Supernatural" season 11 returns on The CW on Jan. 20, 2016 at 9 p.m. EST.
