It will still take a while before the airing of the winter premiere of "Suits" season 6, but speculations about the show's season 7 are already starting to come out.

Rumors claim that more regular cast members will no longer appear in the upcoming season of USA Network's legal drama after the shocking departure of Gina Torres' character, Jessica Pearson, during the midseason finale of season 6.

According to a report from MobiPicker, there are speculations claiming that actors Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams are also considering to leave the show soon. This prompted speculations that the network will cancel the show for season 7.

However, executive producer Aaron Korsh revealed in an interview with TVLine back in August that he just renewed his contract with the cable network for the next two years. This means that "Suits" could still be around until its eighth season.

"I would say we're not in the upswing of the show's life cycle. There have been shows that have lasted a long time and much longer than us, twice as long at least. I don't know how close we are to the end, but I know we're very likely closer to the end than we are to the beginning," Korsh stated in the interview.

Meanwhile, the second half of "Suits" season 6 is expected to center on the changes in the Pearson Specter Litt law firm after Jessica left. With the co-founder and managing partner out of the picture, there could be a lot of conflicts that will erupt between Harvey Specter (Macht) and his mortal enemy, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman). This means that Harvey and Louis' legal secretary, Donna (Sarah Rafferty), will have to step in to prevent further conflict between the two.

The premiere episode of the second half of "Suits" season 6 is expected to air sometime in early 2017.
