'Suits' season 6B spoilers, news: Is Mike coming back to the firm? Legal drama wraps up filming for latter half of installment

The future of the Pearson Specter Litt has never been this bleak in the six and a half seasons of "Suits." Even when Mike (Patrick J. Adams) had his secret revealed, prompting him to serve time in the penitentiary, fans have always counted on the promise that he will eventually get through his predicament with the help of Harvey (Gabriel Macht). And in between trying to get the quasi-lawyer out of jail as soon as possible and keeping the sinking law firm afloat, the crew was able to hold their ground and push through.

But what happens when one of the three pillars of the company, which arguably is the sturdiest of them all, is suddenly no longer there to share the weight of being in corporate law? That is exactly how the famed New York firm is right now with the departure of Jessica (Gina Rodriguez) in the midseason finale of "Suits." Aside from now only leaving the reins to Harvey and Louis (Rick Hoffman), who have the most unstable relationship, it also affects the overall dynamic of how they will be running the show from now on.

Mike's return into the thick of things is almost imminent as the narrative could feel a little bit repetitive without him in Pearson Specter Litt. Besides, fans clamor for witty banter in the halls of the office and it will not hurt to see the dynamic duo of Mike and Harvey back on track again. If an Instagram post featuring a behind-the-scenes photo, care of Sarah Rafferty, who plays Donna, is an indication, the whiz kid will be back in his suit just in time before the season wraps up. Unfortunately, with the stigma of Mike's misdemeanors coupled with the firm just slowly getting back on its feet, it might not be an easy road to score wins in the world of corporate law like before for the two.

Meanwhile, filming for the rest of season 6 has officially wrapped up as the cast and crew took to their social media accounts to celebrate the occasion. Fans, however, would have to wait for quite some time before they get to sample where the show will go after a lot of things were left hanging in the balance.

"Suits" season 6 is slated to return to air on Jan. 25, 2017. It reclaims its usual Wednesday, 9 p.m. ET slot.
