'Suits' season 5B premiere: Harvey to finally open up to Donna?

Suits USA Network

"Suits'" Donna (Sarah Rafferty) and Harvey (Gabriel Macht) have been in a complicated relationship for so long. Donna is unsure if a romantic relationship is the best thing for them, while Harvey is the type who's afraid to care deeply about a person.

But all that could change when the legal-drama series returns next year for the second half of season 5. According to International Business Times, Harvey will soon let people — Donna in particular — break down the wall that he has surrounded himself with.

In the past episodes, Donna has been trying to distance herself from Harvey since she realized she has feelings for him and she wanted to be more than just his assistant.

The report continued that as the show moves forward, Harvey will also realize that he needs to be the man that Donna needs in her life and in order to do that, he may have to change his ways.

Harvey has been scared of loving someone because if things don't go as planned, he might rather give focus on his career than fix things, much like how he was with his family, CarterMatt noted. With continued therapy sessions with his shrink, Dr. Agard (Christina Cole), he could overcome the fear and move forward with his feelings for Donna.

On the other hand, Donna will also need to weigh things between her and Harvey, if she is ready to go into a relationship with him after what they've been through.

But fans should not lose hope in shipping these two characters because speculations point to them moving toward a positive direction.

When season 5B kicks off, it is expected to put more focus on Mike Ross' (Patrick J. Adams) arrest, but once his issues are fixed, Harvey should be prepared to open up his heart and welcome a relationship with Donna.

That will make season 5B feature more romance storylines, aside from Mike and Rachel's (Meghan Markle).

Then again, these are based on speculations and fans can only confirm them once "Suits" returns with season 5B episodes on Jan. 27, 2016 at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
