A new character has joined the lineup of fighters in the upcoming video game "Street Fighter V."

The announcement on the new character was revealed during the keynote for the game at the PlayStation Experience 2015 held in San Francisco last Saturday.

The final character added to the roster is named F.A.N.G., an assassin with a penchant for poison, who serves as the right-hand man of Shadaloo, as described in PlayStation Blog.

Other than managing the operations of his boss, F.A.N.G. is dedicated to work on the evil experiments that Shadaloo is conducting in his science facilities.

As for his abilities, once F.A.N.G. inflicts his poisonous attack, the poison continues to suck life from the opponent's health bar until the assassin receives a hit.

For the V-Skill Nishodoku, F.A.N.G. shoots a slow-moving poison that inflicts slow damage upon contact. For V-Trigger, called Dokunomu, F.A.N.G. puts up his defense through a poisonous cloud that surrounds his body, inflicting damage to an opponent who comes near him.

Apart from the introduction of a new character, developer Capcom also announced the six fighters who will arrive when the game launches in 2016. They will be Guile, Alex, Juri, Urien, Ibuki, and Balrog.

As noted in the blog, these characters can be unlocked for free by accumulating Fight Money while playing the game. For those who can't wait for the six characters and want to immediately play with them once "Street Fighter V" gets released, they can do so by purchasing Zenny using real cash.

All six players will be playable immediately through the 2016 Season Pass for $29.99. Each of these characters will already have a premium costume.

The 2016 Season Pass is now available for pre-order in North America. Those who get this offer before Feb. 16 will receive three PlayStation 4 (PS4) avatars: Chun-Li, Ryu, and M. Bison for free.

'Street Fighter V' will arrive to PS4 and personal computer (PC) on Feb. 16, 2016.
