Steam Winter Sale 2016 news: Gamers enjoy Black Friday offer; Winter Sale to start Dec. 22

Though there still isn't any official word from Valve on when Steam would be holding its big Winter Sale this year, it seems like gamers have been enjoying the digital distribution platforms' most recent promo stint, the Black Friday Sale for 2016.

The sale officially began earlier this week on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and Game N Guide reports that the promo will continue until next Tuesday, Nov. 25. A lot of games on the site have gotten huge discounts, and a few of the best deals being offered by the Steam 2016 Black Friday Sale include games like "Cities: Skylines," "Rocket League," "Darkest Dungeoun," "Ark: Survival Evolved," "Invisible Inc." "Fallout 4," "GTA V," "Undertale," "Batman: Arkham Knight," "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and "Quantum Break." Getting discounts ranging from 20 percent to 75 percent in the Black Friday Sale, many of these games have been made a lot cheaper than they used to be on Steam.

However, while the deals may seem pretty enticing, gamers have also been advised that they can find other sales and discounts from the digital distribution sites of the games' sources like Ubisoft and Electronic Arts (EA).

Gamers can also wait for the Steam Winter Sale next month as well. Shack News reports that the sale could start on Thursday, Dec. 22. A leak came out earlier this month from a forum message sharer saying that the Winter Sale would begin at 9:50 a.m. PT on Dec. 22 and would end at 10:00 a.m. PT on Jan. 2, 2017. The leaker has also provided dates for the Steam Autumn or Black Friday Sale which coincided with the actual dates provided by Steam. Given the accuracy of the leaked Steam Autumn Sale dates, chances that the leaked Steam Winter Sale dates could be accurate are high as well.

Gamers looking for an even bigger discount can find one at the upcoming Winter Sale since the end-of-year discounts tend to come higher than those offered during fall.
