"Star Wars Battlefront" fans were in for a treat when the game's community manager, Sledgehammer70, announced on the forum that the first DLC, titled "Outer Rim," will be arriving soon. Along with the announcement, an artwork was also posted.

"With our February Update launched today, we will be coming up on the full reveal and release of the first pack within the Season Pass, Outer Rim. Look for details on more maps, weapons, star cards, heroes, level cap increase, and an all-new multiplayer game mode," Sledgehammer70 wrote. "The team is very much looking forward to revealing more details around the content and the launch of Outer Rim, but let us know what you're looking forward to in the comments below."

However, no release date was mentioned.

Prior to this announcement, Sledgehammer70 also informed the "Star Wars" gaming community about the February update for the PlayStation 4, the PC and Xbox One. The update includes the "Jakku" DLC content, a new map called Twilight on Hoth, and Survival in the Ice Caves mission.

Additional tweaking options were added to the game, including the option to totally turn off music anywhere in the game, a Film Grain setting slider added in the video menu, and an updated game credit list. There are also some changes in the weapons, Star Card, vehicles, as well as in the multiplayer mode and many more.

The "Star Wars: Battlefront Outer Rim" DLC will be taking place in two locations, as Gottabemobile reported -- the factories of Sullust and Jabba's palace.

Meanwhile, for many casual "Battlefront" gamers, the artwork that Sledgehammer70 posted is nothing more than a promotional item, but for die-hard "Star Wars" fans, it is something else. Upon zooming in, fans recognized two familiar characters from the original trilogy, as Design & Trend reported.

WCCFTech also reported that fans who already started playing with the February update have located a new Easter egg in the Twilight on Hoth map, and it is a frozen Tauntaun.

"Star Wars Battlefront" will be having a total of four DLC packs for the year.
