'Star Wars Battlefront 3' release date set for this winter for PS4

"Star Wars Battlefront 3," the third installment of the Battlefront series is rumored to be coming out by the winter of this year. However, this would only be for the PlayStation 4 consoles only. There is no official word yet on when the versions would be coming out.

This time around, EA Digital Solutions (DICE) will be behind the sequel. This developed after the original developer, Free Radical Design, lost its right to continue game development.

The game will continue to carry the first person shooter methodology although gamers can expect a lot of new features including that involves giving players a chance to play with other folks which should bring in a new and interesting extensive single player campaign.

For those who were able to tune in during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014, the teaser trailer should give you an idea on what lies ahead as far as "Star Wars Battlefront 3" is concerned.

Aside from an extensive single player campaign, gamers can look forward to another new feature in Battlelog. This is an online tracking system that had been constantly used in the previous Battlefront series.

Among the things to expect with Battlelog include that of a web interface for tracking personal stats and unlockable stuff, a browser to check available matches and servers. In all, gamers could be in for a treat with a presumed multiplayer mode once the game comes out.

While the PS4 version seems to be something to look forward to, hopefully other game console versions will be announced soon.
