"Star Wars: Battefront" fans are looking forward to its sequel even if they don't have any news about its development. They are also speculating that this time around a single player mode will be included.

Fans are looking forward to what Patrick Soderlund, EA's executive vice president, mentioned during the company's investors meeting a month back. He said that they could possibly correct the issues in the previous game with the next, if they will be creating one, Kotaku reported.

Vine Report added that the company's chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, mentioned that they are planning to release one game a year in the next three years, and that two more games are on their sleeves, "Star Wars: Battlefront" reboot being the first one. However, it is still too early to tell if "Battlefront 2" is in the works or another "Star Wars" game is being prepped on.

Elsewhere, Polygon reported that the previously cancelled "Star Wars: Battlefront 3," before the Disney takeover, will be soon available to download for free. This is according to Frontwire Studios, a Russian-based developer, which started out as a group of die-hard fans of the game, years ago, and developed their own version of the game. It will be called "Galaxy in Turmoil."

The official statement said, "It is with great pleasure that as of today I am able to officially announce that Frontwire Studios has officially signed a distribution deal with Steam/Valve for the game Galaxy in Turmoil. After ongoing discussion between Valve Representatives and myself, Valve/Steam has agreed to ship Galaxy in Turmoil to it's millions of users for FREE."

During the course of the development of the project, the developers were discussing if they will be in trouble for releasing such a game, like receving the dreaded cease-and-desist order. However, since no money will be collected for the game when it gets released,  and they also did not raise any money for its development,  "Technically we'd be classified as a parody," according to Tony Romanelli, the company president.

For now, the game's Steam page is still not live, but is expected to be up soon.
