Carrie Fisher's time on earth may have passed, but her legacy lives on in the hearts of her fans and her co-stars who have fond memories of her on set.
One of her new co-stars, Oscar Isaac, had some things to say about the actress during the red carpet premiere for this new film "The Promise." Business Insider was able to speak with Isaac, who plays the X-wing pilot Poe Dameron in the "Star Wars" movie franchise, at the red carpet and the actor talked about his experience on the set of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" with Fisher and "intense" was one of the words he used to describe it.
"It was basically my first day [on set] and we did about 25 takes total. Half of them were on me and half of them were on her," he started. "I can't give anything away but there was a scene where there was some physicality there and it was shot just over and over and over. She relished the physicality of it, let me just say. It was pretty intense. It will be funny to see what they cut together based on that."
Having worked with Fisher on two "Star Wars" films, he looked back on how "fortunate" he feels just to have been in "her gravitational field."
It remains unclear for now as to how the two characters will interact in the upcoming film, but with the events that are about to take place, it is clear that Fisher's Leia Organa, as the leader of the Resistance during a time of galactic chaos, will be under a lot of stress. While filming though, the actress did not seem to experience the same stress as her character does.
Isaac said during the interview, "At every moment she would just wander over with her Coke — she was constantly drinking Coca-Cola — and find a way to undercut the situation or to cut through something to make me laugh."
It has been previously reported that Leia will have a bigger role in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," compared to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The viewers are guaranteed to see a lot more of the actress, despite her passing in December last year.
