"Sons of Anarchy's" Jax Teller's death has left millions of fans heartbroken, but that didn't stop them from hoping to see more of FX's motorcycle club. Adding to that hope is producer Kurt Sutter who hinted a possible prequel to the series.

In September, Sutter told Deadline that he plans to hopefully have a prequel, which will compose of 10 or 12 episodes. The prequel will, of course, focus more on the early days of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original.

Sutter envisions that the show will feature John Teller, Jax's father, and how his relationship with Piney (William Lucking) started and how the two started to develop the motorcycle club.

Sutter also told E! Online some details in which he revealed how a prequel will be more of a historical series set in 1960's Vietnam.

Apart from a prequel, Sutter also hinted that he wanted to do a spin-off for "Sons of Anarchy," with the Mayans biker club as the focal point of the story. He also emphasized that if a spin-off would be done, it would have a unique identity from the established "Sons of Anarchy."

Ever since Sutter dropped hints, rumor mills are up and churning. One rumor even mentioned that Brad Pitt will play the role of John. Actor Charlie Hunnam, who played Jax, even thought that the rumor was awesome.

"Did you read that about Brad Pitt maybe playing my dad? Brad Pitt as John Teller. How awesome would that be?" Hunnam said during an interview last year with Men's Journal.

Meanwhile, there's still no still no confirmation on when the prequel will be released but according to rumors, production will start sometime this year.

Koreaportal also gathered that Sutter will still executive produce a "Sons of Anarchy" prequel and is reportedly looking for someone to stand as his co-producer.

Details about "Sons of Anarchy" prequel are based on speculations and rumors for now. It is expected that more updates will be given in the months to come.
