While the plot details of "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 remain under wraps, new lead star Janina Gavanker shared a photo of her and her co-star, Tom Mison.

The actress posted her very first photo with Mison on Instagram, taken during last week's Dragon Con in Atlanta. The two were seen hugging each other in the photo.

While the two seemed to be friendly in real life, Deadline revealed in July that Gavanker's character, Diana, and Mison's Ichabod Crane could find themselves at opposing ends when the horror drama series returns next season.

According to the report, Gavanker will portray the role of a tough former military officer-turned-Special Agent of Homeland Security who does not believe in the supernatural, which could cause some disagreements between her and Crane. Despite her hard-hitting persona, Diana is said to have a softer, more sensitive side when it comes to her young daughter since she is also a single mom.

The report also said that Diana and Crane will also argue because of their contrasting ways of dealing with their missions.

Meanwhile, Headlines and Global News revealed that several "Sleepy Hollow" fans are not thrilled to see the major changes that will begin in season 4 after Crane's former partner Abbie Mills died in season 3.

According to the report, the fans noticed that the new storyline for "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 seemed to be inspired from FOX's other horror police-procedural drama "Lucifer." This is because Gavanker's character has several similarities with Lucifer's (Tom Ellis) love interest, Chloe Decker (Lauren German), especially since both characters have the same line of work, and they are both single mothers. However, the network has yet to comment about the reported similarity between the two shows.

The premiere date of "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 is still unannounced, but the series is expected to return in early 2017.
