"Sister Wives" has long been about the happy family of Kody Brown and his four wives. But after six seasons, it looks like that's all about to change.

Rumor has it that three sister wives are considering leaving Kody. Most fans may be able to guess who those three sister wives are by now, especially after the events of season 6.

The previous season mostly highlighted Kody's "favourite" wife, Robyn, and their relationship. He had moved mountains in order to divorce Meri and make Robyn his only legal wife. He also adopted Robyn's three children from a former marriage. Meri, however, remained married to Kody "spiritually," along with Janelle and Christine.

If the speculations of Meri, Janelle and Christine's departure are true, then season 7 is going to look quite different. Fans were not pleased when news broke out that the upcoming season would still focus on Kody and Robyn's marriage, especially since they have a baby on the way. The other wives certainly have issues of their own to deal with that viewers want to witness.

Many are wondering how Robyn's new position as the only legal wife will change the dynamic of the family. After all, she had apparently known all along about Meri's situation. As a source told InTouch, "Robyn absolutely knew from the beginning that Meri was being Catfished. Robyn sat back and just watched as the whole scam unraveled."

Radar Online recently reported on the three wives' intention to leave the polygamist patriarch. "This family has been torn apart. Meri will certainly walk away," said an insider.

The insider also added that Janelle had also been thinking about leaving Kody, saying, "They weren't in love when they met and got married."

"Kody fat-shames [Christine] and has no problem saying he was repulsed by her when they first met," the insider continued.

If these rumors are to be believed, then it certainly would not be surprising at all if the three wives do end up leaving Kody.

"Sister Wives" season 7 will premiere in early 2016.
