The season 6 finale of "Sister Wives" proved to be so successful that the reality television series was renewed for another season.
The previous season highlighted Kody and Robyn, and reports have it that the upcoming season will be no different. This means that all the other sister wives — Meri, Janelle and Christine — won't be featured as much.
Tamron Hall, who hosted the season 6 finale "Tell All," caused a rumor frenzy regarding season 7 when she tweeted the following: "I am sure she appreciates you saying that... #SisterWives tough reunion see you next season #newbaby"
The latter hashtag fueled rumors that the seventh season will focus on Kody and Robyn's relationship and their new baby.
She Knows reports that the season 6 finale heavily focused on Kody's divorce from Meri so he could legally marry Robyn. It also dealt with his decision to adopt Robyn's three children from a former relationship. Sure enough, fans of the show reacted quite negatively to the news.
In the same website's comments section, numerous viewers have expressed their disgust at the decision and have even threatened to stop supporting the reality television show should it shift its focus.
One commenter, Debbie, voiced her opinion on the matter, particularly with regard to Robyn, saying, "I will no longer be watching them. What a joke they turned into. Robyn has ruined that show and she is the most evil one of them all... I agree get them OFF the air.."
Another on-site commenter, WilmaC, said, "I thought I was the only one who does not like Robyn. I can't put my finger on it, but since she was introduced, there was something about her I did not like. Now seeing how the family has fallen apart, I dislike her even more. The whole adoption thing is beyond me."
But it looks like the fans are not the only ones who dislike the sudden change.
Christine, one of Kody's wives, has reportedly expressed her jealousy over his treatment of Robyn and his presumed favoritism. She has also pointed out that since Kody's attention seems to be fixated on Robyn, she is getting less of it as a result.
Viewers will just have to find out if the rumors prove to be true when "Sister Wives" season 7 premieres in early 2016.
