'Sense8' season 2 release date and plot speculations - what to expect

"Sense8" Netflix

It's been exactly six months since Netflix viewers last saw the sci-fi drama series "Sense8," but the good thing is that the show has been picked up for another season. Fans will just have to wait for announcements as to when the show will premiere.

However, there are speculations suggesting that the second season will premiere the same date or month as the previous season — in this case, June 2016, according to an earlier report from Netflix Life.

Specifically, "Sense8" premiered its first season back on June 5, 2015 and it fell on a Friday. If Netflix will follow this pattern, it is predicted that season 2 will be aired on June 3, 2016.

However, in a recent The Film Stage interview with "Sense8" cinematographer, John Toll, it was revealed that the series will start filming sometime in March 2016. This easily puts an end to the June 2016 speculations, considering that filming the show will entail complex procedures.

If the film shoots in March, it's very unlikely for the show to be released only three months after, Realty Today noted.

As of the moment, it's going to be a waiting game for fans, but plot speculations circulating online should keep them excited while waiting for the series' return.

According to News Everyday, Kala (Tina Desai) will face some love issues in season 2, since her fiancé Rajan (Purab Kohli) will transition to the dark side. Rajan is expected to grow jealous over his fiancee's close relationship with Wolfgang (Max Riemelt) and might be the villain for season 2.

The news outlet also added that Rajan will be enraged and might endanger Kala and Wolfgang. Season 2 is predicted to focus its storyline around the love triangle formed by Rajan, Wolfgang, and Kala.

Meanwhile, nothing has been set on stone yet and the plot is just based on speculations. Fans will just have to wait for further announcements in the coming months.
