"Sense8," a Netflix original series, was well received by fans in its premier season and they are looking forward to the next chapter of the story. However, one of the Wachowski siblings, Lily, wants some more time off from the project, which has caused a delay on the show's production. Now, it is just Lana who will be working on the first parts of the upcoming season.

"Sense8" is an American science fiction drama television series created by the Wachowskis ("The Matrix" trilogy, "V for Vendetta," "Jupiter Ascending"). It is a story about eight strangers who became mentally and emotionally connected through their minds, and need to get away and survive from being hunted down by those who see them as a threat to the whole world, particularly, Mr. Whispers (Terrence Mann). They are located in different parts of the globe – in the United States, Korea, England, Kenya, Germany, India, and Mexico, thus they only meet through visions.

The series was targeting a June 2016 air date, but since Lily wanted to take an extra rest, the release has been moved to a later date. Fans can expect the show to be back later in summer or fall of this year, Crossmap earlier reported, but there are rumors that the show may come back in spring of 2017.

The report added that the rumored plot for the next season involves the love triangle between Kala (Tina Desai), Rajan (Purab Kohli), and Wolfgang (Max Riemelt). Fans are also speculating that Rajan will be acting out as a villain,  which will bring Kala and Wolfgang closer.

Meanwhile, Movienewsguide mentioned that another possible issue that may have caused a delay in its production is when Aml Ameen, playing as Capheus, suddenly left the show mid-season, citing "creative differences" with the Wachowskis as the main reason. However, this doesn't mean that the character will be gone as it will now be played by Toby Onwumere, but no official statement has been issued by the show with regards to Ameen's action.

Fans are also expecting more actions happening now that the show is in its second.  Riemelt said that the eight members of the team will be able to defeat Mr. Whispers, Buzzfeed reported.

For now, there is no official word on when "Sense8" will be back on air.
