'Scandal' season 6 premiere date, spoilers: Olivia over Fitz and going for Jake instead?

It looks like Liv's mind will be made in "Scandal" season 6. ABC

"Scandal" season 6 is expected to delve into Olivia's (Kerry Washington) complicated love life and the odds of whom she ends up with in the end.

Scott Foley, who plays the role of Jake, knows that it really isn't that complicated. The actor revealed in a new interview that, unsurprisingly, Liv has already made her choice, but she just does not want to recognize it.

"I'm going to be very unpopular in saying this: I think Olivia has chosen Jake. There is no question in my mind that she's chosen Jake," Foley told Entertainment Weekly.

The actor pointed out how in "Scandal" season 5, Olivia and Jake planned to ditch the former's father Rowan (Joe Morton) and his devious scheme, which involved Jake marrying another woman, and just leave things behind.

"They concocted this plan, they were going to be together, he was going to leave [his fiancée] at the altar until Rowan threatened Olivia with Jake's life," Foley said.

He added that even though Liv told Jake that she never loved him and is still hooked to Fitz (Tony Goldwyn), "it was very apparent to me that she wanted to be with Jake and she couldn't."

It is unknown if "Scandal" season 6 will delve into that, seeing that Liv is focused on winning the presidential election with Mellie (Bellamy Young).

She has done so much for this, and in "Scandal" season 6, Liv's top priority is making sure everything she did to get where she is now will pay off.

It's unclear if Foley's vision of Liv and Jake's romance will happen in "Scandal" season 6, but they will sure be hanging out more as he joined the fixer's party as the vice presidential bet.

Whether or not it will be Olivia and Jake in the end, fans can watch them get there in "Scandal" season 6 premiering early next year on ABC.
