The San Diego Chargers will play the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night to complete a big day of match ups in the NFL preseason calendar. Today's game, from the University of Phoenix Stadium, will be the last of eight games to take place on Saturday in Week 2 of the NFL 2015 preseason. The game will start at 10 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link below.
The Cardinals struggled badly last week in their Week 1 preseason opener, and they will be looking to bounce back quickly to get their preparations for the new regular season back on track.
It might be impossible for the Cardinals to play as badly as they did last week, but if they do then the Chargers will be sure to punish the Arizona team badly here in Glendale tonight.
It's not all doom and gloom for Arizona though, as a closer look at what happened last week reveals that their starters actually performed respectfully against Kansas City, however, their backups were largely trounced by their opposites over the rest of the game, getting demolished 34-12.
Preparations have not been great coming into today's game either though, with guard Mike Lupati and defensive tackle Corey Peters both going down injured during the week.
One area that Arizona will be desperate to see improvement in tonight will be in their running game. They failed to really get going against Kansas City, and will be hoping for much better penetration against the Chargers in tonight's match up.
Running back Chris Johnson signed for the team earlier in the week, and he hopefully can bring some much needed competition in the roster.
Meanwhile, San Diego will be hoping to build on a very good win last week against the Dallas Cowboys, where they claimed a 17-7 victory. They have high hopes to make the Playoffs this year after a 9-7 season last year, and will be looking to hit the ground running when the season starts in a few weeks time.
