Samsung PC monitor wireless charging feature: Just place mobile phone below screen and it charges

 Official Samsung website

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has just released a new and very helpful product.

A report from The Verge stated that the Korean tech vendor's new monitor, the SE370, comes with an awesome feature — a wireless charger.

This means that the phone can just be left below the screen without doing anything, and the gadget's battery life will be replenished.

According to Gizmodo, a 24- or 27-inch 1080 display from Samsung may seem boring, but what's under the panel is the most interesting bit.

The wireless charging feature is helpful especially for those who forgot to bring their standard phone chargers.

But to be able to enjoy the feature, one should have a gadget that supports the Qi wireless charging, which is notable in Samsung devices such as the Galaxy S6.

SE370 is built to last for long periods of screen usage. The monitor also features a mode that helps reduce eye strain by reducing the brightness of the blue light.

Samsung also stated in its blog post that the monitor will be perfect for gaming, since it has response time of four milliseconds that eliminates lag, making fast-action in games well-supported.

So, is it important for everyone to have a wireless charging monitor? Not quite, but it only adds to the appeal and convenience on the desk, and anyone who likes to keep their desk organized should benefit from SE370.

There will be no need for extra charging docks as well as long charger cables that could just coil up and even take up space on the desk.

CNET reports that based on data from market research firm IDC, sales of PC monitors have declined. Samsung may have placed ahead of Dell when it comes to being the leading manufacturer of PC monitors, but both the company's shares and shipment declined.

The introduction of a monitor capable of wireless charging should attract more customers and give Samsung a boost in sales.

Samsung's SE370 is expected to hit the market late this year, according to Gizmodo. There are no price details as of the moment, but it is already expected that the monitor will not come cheap.
