Samsung Galaxy A7 release date, specs rumors: Affordable smartphone packed with features

With all the smartphones that the Samsung Galaxy A7 has to compete with in the market, one feature that makes it a strong competitor is its affordable price considering all of its upgrades. The new smartphone has a better display, an upgraded camera, and it's also water and dust-resistant.

Samsung Galaxy A7 features a 5.7-inch Super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display with a Full HD resolution that shows brighter colors and sharper images. An Exynos 7880 octa-core processor clocked at 1.9 GHz also powers the Galaxy A7. The phone includes 32 GB of onboard storage and 3 GB of random-access memory (RAM).

The phone has a 3,300 mAh battery. International Business Times AUreported that when the smartphone's battery was tested, it was able to last for eight hours — it lasted that long even as the smartphone was being constantly used.

In a review done by The Quint, the Galaxy A7 is said to be highly competitive when it comes to battery life, along with the other upgrades the phone came with. With the majority of people always being on the go, having a long battery life comes in handy at the end of the day. It's also important to have a good quality camera, like the 16-megapixel (MP) rear and front camera included in the phone, for when a good moment arises.

What may cause users to refrain from purchasing the Galaxy A7 is the exterior of the phone. It looks plain and bulky. It is also said to be heavier when compared to other smartphones.

Samsung continues to live up to consumer expectations with their latest release of the Galaxy A7. A smartphone that offers what the Galaxy A7 has to offer will have a much higher price point than the Galaxy A7. Currently, the price of the Galaxy A7 is $340.
