Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart 2016: Rob rumored to be supportive of Alicia Cargile relationship

Nearly three years ago, "Twilight" fans were saddened by the split of their favorite couple, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. And then Rob moved on to a good space romantically. He's now engaged to FKA Twigs, as Hollywood Life reports.

Stewart dated French singer Soko, and the "Twilight" star went through a rocky patch when she broke up with the artist in the spring of 2016. All along, on the sidelines, there had been rumors of the actress's linkup with her former assistant Alicia Cargile. The two girls had been known in the social circles as best friends, but the rumor mills began to spin into overload when the girls were spotted holding hands on multiple occasions.

More PDA followed, and Kristen finally opened up to Elle UK last week about how deeply she's in love with her girlfriend. When the actress spilled the beans, the one thing most fans wanted to know was how her ex-boyfriend Pattinson took the revelation.

Hall of Fame Magazine points out that Stewart had already filled Pattinson in on the latest developments in her love life. She had apparently informed him about the upcoming interview, and this had no doubt allowed him to be better prepared for the storm of questions that would inevitably flood his way once the big secret was out.

A leakster told Hollywood Life that Robert Pattinson had been very supportive of Kristen's move. "Kristen gave Rob a heads up about the interview and he was very supportive," the source revealed. "He told her he was proud of her."

As for what Kristen has to say about it, Inquistr discloses that the actress quoted, "We (Pattinson and Stewart) were turned into these characters and placed into this ridiculous comic book, and I was like, 'That's mine. You're making my relationship something that it's not.' I didn't like that. But then it changed when I started dating a girl."
