"Riverdale" is starting to get intense as the season nears its season finale. The hunt for Jason Blossom's (Trevor Stines) killer has intensified after the arrest of Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) father, F.P. (Skeet Ulrich) in the previous episode.

In Episode 12 of "Riverdale," which will be airing this week, the gang will be uncovering the truth about Jason's killer. Archie (KJ Apa), and Veronica (Camila Mendes) will let their parents know about F.P.'s innocence, but they will also have to come clean about how they know about the truth.

Despite feeling betrayed by his friends in the previous episode, Jughead will hesitantly join Betty (Lili Reinhart), Archie, and Veronica as they investigate some more about the killer.

While all of this is going in "Riverdale," Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) will question her mom about the reason why she favors Jason more than she does with her.

The promo trailer that is less than a minute long is packed with drama happening in this week's episode. In the beginning, F.P. can be seen sitting inside a jail cell while Archie and Veronica try to convince the Sheriff that F.P. is being framed. As Archie involves himself in the investigation of the killer, his dad, Fred (Luke Perry), warns him that he may end up dead.

Meanwhile, Jughead is seen confronting Betty in the middle of the hallway in their school. He asks her, "If it wasn't my dad, who killed Jason Blossom?"

Mrs. Blossom (Nathalie Boltt) makes an appearance in the trailer as someone accuses her of killing her own son. It then shows a picture of Jason with a bullet through his head.

The trailer ends with Archie and the rest of the gang in a room where they are seen watching a video on a laptop. A gunshot can be heard while they are watching, so it can be assumed the video reveals the identity of the killer.

"Riverdale" season 1, episode 12, which will be called "Anatomy of a Murder," is scheduled to air on Thursday, May 4, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
