While fans await the official release date of "Rick and Morty" season 3, the people behind the animated series continue to release teasers about the show.

In one of her latest Twitter posts, storyboard artist Erica Hayes shared the progress in the development of the show. It revealed that the evil Morty will talk to Rick about a possible escape plan so they can both break out of the Galactic Federal Prison.

Season 2 ended with Rick's decision to turn himself in because he grew tired of hiding his family from the Galactic Federation. Will the evil Morty convince Rick to join him in his plan of breaking out of prison in season 3? Meanwhile, writer Mike McMahan revealed via his Twitter account that the third season of "Rick and Morty" will be the animated series' best. He also advised the fans of the animated series to endure the long wait since everything will be worth it.

Other reports claimed that aside from an exciting plot, fans of "Rick and Morty" will also enjoy more episodes in season 3. Compared to the show's past two seasons, Adult Swim ordered four more episodes for the upcoming season of the show. This means that instead of having the usual 10 episodes per season, "Rick and Morty" season 3 will have 14 episodes this time.

On the other hand, showrunner Dan Harman reportedly expressed that he is very interested to have "Fast and Furious" star Vin Diesel onboard the third season of "Rick and Morty." According to Vine Report, the actor could lend his voice to one of the new characters of the show. However, there is no confirmation yet regarding a possible casting addition involving Diesel at the moment.

Adult Swim has yet to announce the official release date of "Rick and Morty" season 3, but the animated series is expected to come out in 2017.
