There's still no official release date out for the third season of Adult Swim's notoriously popular science fiction animated series, "Rick and Morty," and while fans have been clamoring for official word on when the series will return, it seems like the writing team has been trying to distract fans with t-shirts and tweets.

According to a report by Game N Guide, there still isn't any concrete news on the release date of the third season of "Rick and Morty," even though series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland promised earlier this year that they would be delivering the next wild and insanely improvisational episodes during December. Now, as November pushes onward to the holiday season without any "Rick and Morty" season 3 release date details, fans have begun to worry about the series.

Meanwhile, the "Rick and Morty" writing and production team has been filling up the official Twitter account of the series with tweets about exclusive t-shirts made to help support a dog rescue charity named "Wags and Walks." Fans looking for information about the status of the development of "Rick and Morty" season 3 won't be getting any from the series' Twitter account, since so far all that the writing team has posted on the account are things related to the exclusive T-shirts and funny tweets about re-imagined characters called Rick and Morto.

Despite the lack of information, iTech Post reports that the "Rick and Morty" writers confirmed that they have finished their work on the episodes for season 3 last month.

"We ended four weeks ago, I think. I think they're done soon, they're done really soon. I think in a week or two they're going to have screenings in the production office," writer Erica Rosbe said.

However, finished writing doesn't necessarily mean a finished season. It seems like "Rick and Morty" season 3 is still undergoing the process of animation and so far the production hasn't provided any updates on the development's status.
