There are still many things unknown about the upcoming 'Resdident Evil 7." However, an Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) listing was recently uncovered and gave details to the fans. Players will take the role of Ethan and will have several weapons available to fight the infected humans.

A "derelict mansion" will also be the main area for the game. Ethan will then have to search for his missing wife and have pistols, shotguns and several more to use against the enemies, according to Gematsu.

The ESRB's description says: "This is a survival-horror game in which players assume the role of Ethan, a man searching for his missing wife in a derelict mansion. From a first-person perspective, players explore the environment and use pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives and chainsaws to kill mutant creatures. Combat is accompanied by realistic gunfire, screams of pain, and exaggerated blood-splatter effects."

It then added, "As players progress through the story, cutscenes can depict instances of gore and intense acts of violence: a character's arm dismembered by a chainsaw; a man's leg taken off at the knee with a shovel; a character impaled through the face with a shovel. Some areas also depict mutilated corpses with exposed organs/viscera. The words "f**k" and "sh*t" are heard in the dialogue."

Ethan's name was first mentioned on the second "Resident Evil 7's" game trailer that was released at Gamescom 2016 called the Lantern.". The trailer allowed the players to have a first look at Marguerite Baker, the resident of the mansion that was mentioned in the description.

Meanwhile, the two game trailers that have been released intrigue fans since it does not feature heavy combat action. Masachika Kawata, the game producer has confirmed in an earlier interview the soon-to-be-released game will not be as fast-paced and action packed as with the other games of the series. "Resident Evil 7" will have a different direction to take and will feature "exploration, puzzle-solving and managing limited resources."

Fans are expecting additional information will become available during the Tokyo Game Show 2016. Capcom also mentioned previously that a new demo would arrive by that time.

"Resident Evil 7" will be released on Jan. 24, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, Xbox One and Windows PC.
