It seems that the Triple-A title "Resident Evil 7" will not have microtransactions, which is a real shocker as most companies today rely on these transactions in order to profit from their games.
According to Cinema Blend, the official "Resident Evil" Twitter page posted that Capcom will not implement microtransactions. The way things are looking right now, it seems that the game will not bother with transactions at all. A lot of fans seem to be delighted by this, since microtransactions have been the bane of gaming lately. Most of the good games out now have a pesky grinding system, which in turn forces players to buy some goods from an in-game shop to speed up the process of both leveling and farming items.
A lot of publishers think that games without microtransactions these days will not survive, and Capcom has been one of the culprits behind it with their recent games, such as "Street Fighter x Tekken." With this, a lot of gamers were left questioning the company's choice of creating microtransactions to compensate for high game development costs instead of just lowering the budget altogether. After all, most indie games such as "Outlast" did not have any microtransactions, and it looked as good as a Triple-A game title overall.
Regardless, this news has a good impact among interested gamers, since they only need to worry about the pre-order bonuses that will help them deal with the game's hardest difficulty.
Meanwhile, Game Spot reports that "Resident Evil 7" will have an update to its "Beginning Hour" demo on Sept.17, called the "Twilight" demo. This demo will purportedly showcase more of the mysterious mansion featured in the original demo — the Baker Mansion — where majority of the game is rumored to take place.
It was even revealed that the Baker family will appear in the demo, and they will certainly send chills down players' spines with their interesting dinner plans.
