Rockstar Games has yet to make an official announcement on when "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be out, so rumors will have to suffice for the moment.

And the latest rumor to that end comes from an acclaimed former employee of Rockstar Games, one who goes by the handle AnonDN1978.

Per AnonDN1978, the next installment will be aptly titled "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West."

Aside from that, he did make some interesting revelations as well. Among them include word that the character of John Marston will no longer be returning.

The main characters for the game will reportedly include Irish, Seth, and one other customizable character.

For a little background on the said characters, Irish is said to be one that grew up in Ireland but ends up in America on his 21st birthday.

Seth on the other hand hails from Kansas City and works in a bank. The goal of Irish and Seth is track down hidden treasure and the two will eventually meet up in Tumbleweed, Texas.

The third character seems pretty interesting. Mentioned to be a customizable one, the said character can be used on gang-mode, which could indicate that the game will have a multi-player mode. From the looks of it, the customizable character will be a gun-for-hire type of a guy, so it will be interesting what further enhancements this character will carry.

Aside from the characters, game setting will reportedly be 12 years before the original "Red Dead Redemption" showcase came out. So does this mean that it will be a blast from the past scenario?

It will be recalled that "Red Dead Redemption 2" was a no show at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 event. A Rockstar Games senior developer reportedly did confirm that it is under development. If this Reddit user is indeed who he claims he is, then such affirms that the game is in the works.

So now, the question is — when will the game come out? Will it be in 2016? Is it the AAA title being prepped by Take-Two Interactive?
