For the longest time ever, "Red Dead Redemption" gamers were pinning their hopes on Rockstar releasing a sequel to the popular open world Western action-adventure videogame, waiting time and time again for the videogame creator to announce the game's development in some of this year's major gaming events like the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and Gamescom. Now that Rockstar has finally announced that they would be releasing "Red Dead Redemption 2," fans have begun to list some of the things that they'd like to see in the upcoming videogame.

According to a report by Game N Guide, although "Red Dead Redemption" was an excessively popular and well-received videogame, fans of the franchise are looking to see some new features in the upcoming sequel "Red Dead Redemption 2."

First of all, it seems like "Red Dead Redemption" gamers want to see a little cowboy–versus–zombie action in the sequel in a possible expansion for the game. With zombies making their way across television, cinemas and literature, it seems like fans are hoping to see a little gameplay in "Red Dead Redemption 2" involving a few zombies.

Aside from zombies, gamers also seem to want a more dynamic world in "Red Dead Redemption 2" where gamers can have random brawls and shoutouts to witness. Fans also feel like a change in scenery and customization wouldn't be so bad for the game as well.

In other news about "Red Dead Redemption 2," Game Spot reports that Straus Zelnick, the CEO for Take-Two Interactive, believes that the time is right for the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel.

"The conventional wisdom was of course that a western wouldn't work," Zelnick described the stigma working against the original videogame. "We took a different point of view, which is that very occasionally westerns capture the imagination of the public. When we launched 'Red Dead,' it did. And those times were right for that. And I think the times are right for a big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again--and that's not meant to be cute," the CEO elaborated further.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is slated to release in the fall of 2017.
