Yolanda Foster has been very candid about her fight against Lyme disease, and recently, the star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" posted new photos on Instagram taken at the hospital where she is being treated for the debilitating effects of the disease.

The former model, who has documented her battle against Lyme disease online, is not afraid to show her fans how her body is being ravaged by the disease; yet she manages to stay positive and upbeat about her journey toward wellness.

One Instagram picture shows the 51-year old lying down on a hospital bed with an IV drip in her arm. The shot was captioned, "Being Positive in a Negative situation isn't naïve, it's leadership on a mission…#DeterminedToFindACure #AffordableForAll #ChronicLymeDiseaseAwareness."

Another picture shows the star on her feet wearing a hospital gown with a smile on her face captioned, "Until you are broken you don't really know what you're made of."

Foster did not specify which type of treatments she's undergoing this time around. Two months ago, she disclosed that she has undergone stem cell therapy.

Lyme disease is an infection caused by bacteria spread by the bite of an infected deer tick, and symptoms include pain in the muscles or joints, fever, malaise, and chronic fatigue. Although a stem cell transplant can heal the cells damaged by the infection, it does not have the capacity to eradicate Borrelia, the bacteria that causes Lyme disease.

Despite struggling with Lyme disease, Foster has never failed to cheer on her children and husband David in their respective endeavors. The proud mother of three regularly posts pictures of her children, Gigi and Bella Hadid, who are both taking the modeling industry by storm.

On Friday, her daughter Gigi shared a touching photo of herself cuddling up to her mother and captioned it, "be back never…mamma and I are about to binge watch Bloodline."

Earlier this year, the model opened up to E! News about her mother's illness.

"It's really hard for me and my siblings to know how we could help, but I guess being supportive is the best way we can do it," Gigi said.
