The latest update for the tactical shooter video game "Rainbow Six Siege" provides new improvements to the gameplay and fixes annoying bugs. The latest patch is part of the "Mid-Season Reinforcements" and was released on Oct. 26.

One of the biggest alterations brought by the update is the level of damage from the laser trip mines of the Russian Operator Kapkan. Several "Rainbow Six Siege" players had raised their concerns prior to the instant kill mine trap of Kapkan. With the new update, the damage depends on the armor level of opponents instead of sure kill. To balance the effect on the operator, Kapkan's movement speed has been amplified, turning the Russian soldier to a 2-speed Operator.

Other than Kapkan's mines, Operator Ela's Grzmot concussion mines are reduced from four to three mines. Ubisoft also boosted the recoil of Ela's Scorpion SMG that makes it difficult for the players to keep their enemies on target.

In order to make Operator Blitz more effective in close combat, he can now hold his shield up when sprinting toward enemies. A new elite set called "The Flying Ace Elite" for Jager was also launched.

These are all the changes added into certain operators. Latency Alignment was also added to address a common problem with unstable connection when playing. Four connectivity icons will also appear in the upper right corner of the screen for players to monitor the capacity of their ping, connection, update rate, and host. Other network improvements include Pawn-to-Pawn Physics, Hit Validation Improvements, and Processing Delay + Ping.

Bug issues with the gameplay, game modes, level design, and user experience are also fixed.

The latest update has been well-received by several players. Regular players of the game are hoping for more updates and possibly new elite sets.

"Rainbow Six Siege" is still one of the most recognized tactical shooter game with an extensive gameplay.
