Now that the real terrorist has been named, Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) must do everything that she can to stop him and his plans in the first season finale of "Quantico."
In the penultimate episode of the season, viewers learned that the real terrorist who framed Alex is her Quantico trainer Liam O'Connor (Josh Hopkins). But the episode did not reveal why he plotted to hurt the New York City population.
Liam was not exactly in people's minds when thinking about the real identity of the traitor, although he has a history of having deep, dark secrets. And now fans would like to know his reason for bombing the city.
Showrunner and series creator Josh Safran told Entertainment Weekly that viewers will find out Liam's reason why became a terrorist in the early parts of the finale.
"The first five minutes of the finale are the how, and the rest of the finale is the why," he stated.
Meanwhile, fans would also like to learn what happened to the former terror suspect Drew Perales (Lenny Platt) after he seemed to have been killed when a bomb went off. But Safran admitted to TV Guide that another twist will come in the finale.
"Even though it looks very likely that he is, that was the one death where I made sure we were outside of it, not inside of it, because I do think there is a version where he could've gotten away," Safran explained. "But he is done for this season. You're not going to see him next week."
Also, the series creator teased that two more characters will die in the first season finale of ABC's critically acclaimed terrorism drama. But it does not mean that the civilians are safe in the episode, because the missing bomb is said to explode in the season finale.
The finale episode of "Quantico" season 1 called "Yes" is scheduled to air on Sunday, May 15, on ABC.
