Sony is now gearing up for the new batch of games it will give away for the month of September to subscribers of PS Plus. However, instead of handpicking the games themselves, the company is giving fans the power to choose which titles they are getting for free.

The program is called Vote to Play and subscribers of the service were given the chance to choose the games they would want to play for free next month, with the game getting the most votes becoming a free title while the other two options to be offered on discount.

Gamers had three games to choose from – "Armello," "Zombie Vikings," and "Grow Home."

The first title is described as a "grim fairy-tale board game," which bring players into an adventure centered on tactical card play combined with strategy and RPG elements. "Zombie Vikings," on the other hand, is a co-op adventure story brawler described as both funny and action-packed, with four players hacking their way to Odin's last eye. Lastly, "Grow Home" is a game that centers on BUD, a procedurally animated robot tasked to save mankind one plant at a time.

Sony should be announcing which game is making it to the PS Plus Games for September soon. Whichever title gets voted the most, subscribers of the service nonetheless wins in the program as they get to purchase the two other titles with a hefty price cut.

This month, PS Plus gamers got to enjoy "Lara Croft and the Temple of the Osiris," the group's triple A title, as well as the 2D side-scroller "Limbo." PS Plus Games subscribers with a PS3, PS4 and PS Vita all got to enjoy "Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones" and "Sound Shapes."

Sony also gave away free copies of "CastleStorm" and "God of War: Ascension."
