Slightly Mad Studios' latest motorsport racing simulator video game "Project Cars 2" received high ratings from game critics after its release on Sept. 22. Fans and critics are happy to see certain improvements in the sequel of "Project Cars."

According to Eurogamer, the sequel managed to address some complaints about the original game concerning control dynamics, limited car selection, extensive tracks, game contents, and more. Many longtime fans of the racing video game franchise are hoping for the third installment.

"Project Cars 2" also offers an improved career mode with the new "Manufacturer Drives" event list, new vehicles, and a wider option for picking track teams. To top it all off, the game features different weather conditions.

The game received a 9.2 out of 10 score from IGN and 83% rating from Metacritic. The initial game got an 8.9 out of 10 from IGN and also an 83% metascore from Metacritic. This indicates that the sequel is truly an improved version of the first one in many gaming elements.

TrustedReviews pointed out that the game's main goal is to provide an amazing racing experience to gamers just like in real life racing.

"Project Cars" received several awards including "Best Racing Game 2015" from Redbull and GameSpot. Supporters of the initial game are confident that the sequel will do even better than the first one.

There are online forums comparing "Project Cars 2" to another newly released racing video game by Turn 10 Studios, the "Forza Motorsport 7." Both games got the same score from IGN. Despite debates about which game is better, there are experts who commended both games for their sophisticated career mode inspired from real-life racing.

Players can engage on the five disciplines of motorsport including Grand Touring (GT), open-wheels, prototypes, rallycross, and touring cars in the game.

Potential buyers can purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game. It includes the full game, season pass, and the motorsports pack.
