After the record-breaking season premiere of "Power" season 3, fans of the crime drama should expect more action-packed scenes involving James St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) despite his attempt to live a peaceful life.

In the premiere episode of season 3, James finally opted to leave his drug-dealing life as "Ghost" behind in order to live quietly with AUSA agent Angela Valdez (Lela Loren). But things could easily get out of hand, especially if his long-time friend Tommy (Joseph Sikora) will allow Lobos to persuade him to kill James so he can replace Ghost as the leader of the city's biggest drug syndicate.

For the second episode of the season, James will do everything to be able to get out of his former illegal business, while Tommy confided in an ex-lover about his next move.

"Ghost deals with loose ends before tangling with some new nightlife competition; Tommy confronts Tasha, who must learn to coexist with Angela. Later, Tommy finds an advisor in a former lover," reads the episode synopsis.

Meanwhile, the season 3 premiere managed to beat the record of "Outlander" season 2 premiere as the most watched show on cable TV. According to Deadline, the show managed to pull in 2.2 million viewers in its new Sunday timeslot. The previous record held by the historical drama was 1.46 million viewers back in April.

In a press statement posted on Business Wire, Starz President and CEO Chris Albrecht said: "We are thrilled Power continues to be a force in its third season with this record setting performance – something very few shows ever achieve. We are proud to say the show is must-watch TV and has helped to establish Starz as a Sunday destination for viewers."

The strong numbers might have inspired Starz to prolong the series, after the network announced Wednesday that they have already ordered a season 4 and season 5.

"Power" season 3 episode 2 airs on Sunday, July 24, on Starz.
