Three more pocket monsters were recently added to Japanese Pokédex of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon." However, the 3DS exclusive game will not offer Alola forms for Acanine, Lapras and Psyduck.

Acanine, Lapras and Psyduck can now be seen on the game's Japanese website. This brings now a total of more than 60 pocket monsters to the Pokémon lineup. Hardcore fans would not really mind the Japanese names they have, since they can identify each one by their looks alone. According to the site, they will not have Alola forms on both games, IB Times reported.

Early last week, five Pokémon from the original lineup were also added to the Japanese Pokedex. These includes Dragonite, Gyarados, Pinsir, Spearow, and Zubat. These Pokémon were also reported not to offer Alola forms either. However, if one will click these five new characters, their other form will show up like Dragonair and Dratini for Dragonite, Fearow for Spearow, Magikarp for Gyardos, and Golbat for Zubat. No update has been made yet with its U.S. website counterpart, but is expected to arrive soon.

Pokémon who has an Alola form includes Exeggutor (grass/dragon), Marowak (fire/ghost), Meowth (dark), Ninetales (ice/fairy), Raichu (electric/psychic), Sandslash (ice/steel), and Vulpix (fire/ice) just to name a few.

The upcoming "Pokémon Sun and Moon," from Game Freak and The Pokémon Company, is set in the island of Alola. The Pokémon who have stayed on the island for generation have adapted to the diverse ecology it offers, thus they have different forms. "Some Pokémon have adapted to the distinctive microclimates of the Alola region, taking on different forms than they have in other regions, the website said.

"These Pokémon are called regional variants. Taking root in the Alola region, they live like native Pokémon. Regional variant Pokémon can have different appearances and types, and their ways of living can also differ from that of the forms previously known," it also added.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" will be available in Japan and U.S. on Nov. 18 for the Nintendo 3DS. It will also be the 20th anniversary of the franchise on the said month.
