The Pokémon Company is celebrating the 20th year since the first pair of "Pokémon" games, "Pokémon Red" and "Pokémon Green," was first released. To commemorate the occasion, the Japanese game company is gearing up to release the newest titles in the series, "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon."

Part of the announcement on the official Pokémon website reads: "Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are coming out for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family in holiday 2016, with a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures to discover!"

The announcement has prompted speculations on what the upcoming games have to offer. iDigitalTimes has listed down 10 possible Mega Evolutions – in addition to the 48 introduced in previous installments – the inclusion of which they believe make a lot of sense. First on the list is Flygon, followed by Milotic, while Lilligant occupies the third spot.

However, not everyone is optimistic. Design & Trend thinks the games need to introduce some changes, otherwise they could end up failing. Among the five reasons listed are a plot that needs improvement; the Mewtwo battles that need some variation; and the single-game slot concept that prevents gamers from starting a new game after they complete it.

The Pokémon website does say that the game will have a new setting and will introduce new pocket monsters. This does not mean, however, that veteran players have to start from zero. Pokémon that gamers caught in "Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire," "Pokémon X and Y," and "Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow" (Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console version) can be transferred to "Pokémon Sun and Moon" through the Pokémon Bank. New challenges await them and their trainers in the upcoming game.

"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" support nine languages, namely Chinese (traditional and simplified), Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and English. The games will be released in the latter part of 2016.
