The Pokémon Company has released four new Mega Stones for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" that players will be to redeem for free with the code "AZUL."

The Mega Stones will now allow Pidgeot, Heracross, Steelix and Houndoom to Mega Evolve when battling it out with other Pokémon. To acquire the new stones, players just need to input the code in the Mystery Gift option in the game's main menu. The four new Mega Stones will be available for pick up in the Pokémon Centers found within the game.

When "Pokémon Sun and Moon" was first released, players were unable to Mega Evolve because the Mega Stones were unable to be retrieved unless the player defeated the main storyline. Slowly, "Pokémon" developers included Mega Stones in the game, but only ones that were from the Alola region. Recently, they started to release more Mega Stones for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" in the form of codes or giveaways in several competitions.

The point of Mega Stones is for the player to be able to Mega Evolve certain Pokémon during battle in order to increase their chances of defeating their opponent. Each Mega Stone is for a specific Pokémon and each one will have a different way of evolving their character. Some evolutions will give the Pokémon new abilities or change their element type.

GameStop is also offering an additional character, Midnight Form Lycanroc, to players of "Pokémon Sun and Moon." A serial code will be distributed in GameStop stores starting May 15. This code will be available for input in the same place where the code for the Mega Stones is inputted.

For the limited-edition character, players of the game will only be able to retrieve it until June 5. Meanwhile, the code given by "Pokémon" developers has no specific end date, but players are advised to use it now before the code becomes unusable.
