"Pokémon GO" fans have been waiting since day one for the arrival of the Legendary creatures. However, until now, these special pocket monsters are still nowhere to be found. Hence many are already doubting if Niantic really intends to release them. Interestingly, they are believed to unleash the species come summer.

According to Birmingham Mail, there are rumors suggesting that the aforementioned season is the best time for the studio the release the Legendary creatures in "Pokémon GO." It can be recalled that the hit augmented reality mobile game was first released back in summer last year. Because of that, many have come to love the idea behind the rumor.

Now, in celebration of the game's upcoming one-year anniversary, it is said that Niantic is set to release a summer-themed event. This time around, though, the Legendary creatures are rumored to be coming. This one here somehow makes sense, as the studio iterated in the past about their plans to introduce these Pokémon via a huge event. Just by connecting the dots, one can say that this speculation could somehow be true.

The publication also mentioned that the Asian general manager of the company, Yoshiji Kawashima, expressed his hope for players to look forward to the above-mentioned "Pokémon GO" event. He even pointed out the fact that their engineers are working very hard for new functions to be developed. There are also speculations that during this event, the highly anticipated player-versus-player (PvP) feature and trading system, among others, will arrive.

In related "Pokémon GO" news, BGR reports that Niantic has increased the spawn rates of Pokémon found in rural areas. Players in these locations, compared to those who live in cities, had initially not been so lucky when it comes to capturing Pokémon. Moreover, the studio wants to significantly increase the availability of PokéStops and Gyms around. This is definitely a huge treat for the fans in these areas.
