A couple of days ago, Niantic revealed plans to release a new update to "Pokémon GO." At that time, the studio did not unveil any specifics, which kept players from knowing what the update would contain. Well, that is a thing in the past, as the update has finally arrived.

According to Heavy, the company has just released the latest "Pokémon GO" version for both Android (version 0.63.1) and iOS (version 1.33.1). It brought a total of two changes to the game. The most interesting one is something players are very much concerned about — the way the game displays medals.

Thanks to the aforementioned update, once a medal is tapped, it will readily showcase the next medal tier for the player. As stated above, it also brought another change to the game. This is no other than support for the Brazilian Portuguese language, something that players who speak the language have been hoping for.

Interestingly, the latest "Pokémon GO" update is not just about the two aforesaid changes. Why? That is because data miners have been able to acquire some interesting discoveries. BGR reports that three lines of codes have been acquired from the latest update. Surprisingly, it somehow points to an upcoming feature called the Raid System.

In each of those lines, the term "Activity" is explicitly mentioned. Data miners believe that it refers to a certain event that allows players to gain experience. If this is the case, then it is likely for players to acquire experience whenever they defeat a raid Pokémon, which is basically a creature that attacks gyms. Thus, players have to do their best to fight it.

It remains a mystery, however, how these codes are really connected to the said "Pokémon GO" feature. It is also vague if such a system is really coming to the game. So, until Niantic officially confirms it, information about this feature should be taken with a grain of salt.
