'Pokémon GO' Generation 2 updates: Espeon, Umbreon expected with next update; 100 more pocket monsters to arrive in-game

"Pokémon GO" Generation 2 is speculated to bring in several new evolutions to its existing characters aside from the additional 100 pocket monsters and Legendary Pokémon. Players are advised not to evolve those characters for the meantime and save their evolution candies for the next phase, especially since Eevee, a popular Pokémon, will reportedly be able to change to Espeon and Umbreon.

Eevee is one of the common Pokémon creatures available right now, with Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon as its current evolutions. It also requires 25 candies to evolve each. Now, players do not need to keep evolving Eevee. Instead, they should keep the ones with the highest CP and transfer the rest. In Generation 2, Eevee will be able to evolve into Espeon and Umbreon which will have max CPs of 1911 and 1938 respectively. They will be powerful when the new evolutions arrive.

Aside from Eevee, it is speculated that some Pokémon which didn't have Gen-1 evolutions will have theirs included in Gen-2. These include Chansey evolving to Blissey, Golbat to Crobat, Gloom to Bellossom, Onix to Steelix, Poliwhirl to Politoed, Porygon to Porygon2, Scyther to Scizor, Seadra to Kingdra, and Slowpoke to Slowking. These are the characters that were introduced with the games "Pokémon Gold" and "Pokémon Silver."

Additionally, it is also anticipated that Chikorita, Chinchou, Cleffa, Cyndaquil, Hoothoot, Igglybuff, Ledyba, Marill, Pichu, Sentret, Spinarak, Togepi, and Totodile are some of the new Pokémon that will be featured in Generation 2. IGN has also published a chart to assist trainers in getting the right amount of Candies needed to evolve their pocket monsters.

Meanwhile, Legendary Pokémon are also rumored to be arriving in the highly successful augmented reality game. These creatures are the rare and powerful, and they cannot be obtained by hatching eggs. They need to be captured out in the open, but it remains unknown how Niantic, the game developer, will deliver them in the game. Some fans are suggesting that there should be special events that will allow the players to capture these prized possessions.

For the meantime, it is a waiting game for "Pokémon GO" fans since the studio has not stated anything official about Generation 2.
