'Pokémon GO' Generation 2 updates, rumors: Ditto remains a mystery as game gears up for its next phase

The "Pokémon GO" community seems to be in the hunt for the elusive Ditto, but no one has caught it yet, even if fans are sure that it is in the game. Meanwhile, fans cannot hide their excitement for the arrival of Generation 2 Pokémon to the augment reality app. Diehards are looking forward to the arrival of the Legendary ones.

Business Insider reported that there is still no record among the players that Ditto has been captured, but they are sure that it is in the game. Aside from being displayed as #132 in the game's Pokédex, the character has also been found by gamers to be included in the code. So, there is no doubt that it is in the game.

It also seems that fans have reached a certain level of frustration that they have even let Niantic, the game developer, know that Ditto remains to be found. John Hanke, CEO of the studio, even commented about the character during TechCrunch's Disrupt last week. Hanke said, "I couldn't tell you how to find Ditto, because it wouldn't be any fun if I did. It will happen for you, I promise."

However, OtakuKart reported that a certain trainer named Cash happened to have the elusive one already. According to the report, Cash was recording an egg hatching with his girlfriend when the egg hatched into an invisible Pokémon. When player added it to the Pokédex, it was only there that they have realized that they have captured Ditto.

From the list, it shows its pink-colored form, but once the player clicks on it, it only displays the name, but no Pokémon creature can be seen. The couple even tried to bring it in a Gym for a battle but it remains hidden. It is possible that Ditto is not yet allowed in the game, and properly using the Pokémon would require another update for the game. The players are hoping that it could happen soon.

Meanwhile, players have already discovered that Legendary Pokémon could probably arrive earlier than expected. Gamers have discovered the line "Activity_catch_legend_pokemon" already in the current game's code and would simply require activation in the near feature. Players cannot wait to experience hunting those incredibly rare and powerful Pokémon creatures, Neuro Gadget reported.

"Pokémon GO" is free to download and play for Android and iOS devices.
