PlayStation Plus October 2016 free games rumors: 'Killzone: Shadow Fall,' 'Nights of the Azure' among lineup?

Another month is about to end, and PlayStation Plus members are looking forward to the games that will be available to them when October arrives. Here are some of the speculated games to arrive next month.

PlayStation Universe suggested that next month could bring "Killzone: Shadow Fall," a sci-fi first-person shooter game from Guerilla Games, "Nights of the Azure" from Koei Tecmo that was released last year in Japan, and "Knack," a platform game by SCE Japan Studio that was released in 2014. A fantasy RPG by Focus Home called "Bound by Flame" could also make in on the list, as well as, "Oddworld Munch's Oddysee HD." This Gen Gaming added that "The Evil Within," "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag," and "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" could also be on the list.

Many players have their own wish list, like "Until Dawn," "Alien Isolation," "7 Days to Die," "Rayman Legends," and "The Escapist." While a Reddit thread predicts that, "Laser Disco Defenders," "Costume Quest 2," "From Dust," "Gravity Rush Remastered," "Shu," "The Crew," and several more can be included on the list.

Rumored AAA games include "Watch Dogs" and "Resident Evil 6," which has been repeatedly predicted in the past. However, their game sequels are also coming out, "Watch Dogs 2" by November and "Resident Evil 7" by January of next year, and hopefully, they will be included in the upcoming month's free games. Other reports mentioned the possible inclusion of "Dead Island," "BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend," "XCOM: Enemy Within," "South Park: The Stick and Truth," and "Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus."

September's lineup includes "Lords of the Fallen" for the PS4, "Journey" for the PS4 and PS3, "Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands" and "Datura" also for the PS3, "Badland" for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, and "Amnesia: Memories" for the PS Vita.

PlayStation Plus is a premium service offered by Sony. Some of the benefits include beta trials, regular store discounts, and the ability to have system software updates and game patches download automatically to the console. Members are also given six games every month, two for each platform. The service started out in 2010.

PlayStation Plus members can expect an official announcement from Sony to happen soon.
