PlayStation Plus free games for May 2016: 'God of War: Ghost of Sparta' added to PS Vita list

Sony has just released its full line-up of free games for the PlayStation Plus for May, with each of its platforms receiving at least two each, and some of them are available on multiple platforms. As such, it's possible for about two-thirds of the available games to work on the PlayStation 4.

According to a report from Game Rant, the games included in the PlayStation Plus lineup for May are "Tropico 5," "Table Top Racing: World Tour," "Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2," "LocoRoco Cocoreccho," "Switch Galaxy Ultra," and "God of War: Ghost of Sparta."

This lineup may not have a blockbuster title, but nonetheless, it offers a well-reviewed and diverse set of smaller games that players may want to try.

On the PlayStation 4, Haemimont Games' "Tropico 5" will be available, along with "Table Top Racing: World Tour". The latter is the sequel to its mobile and PS Vita predecessor. Additionally, while "Switch Galaxy Ultra" is offered for the PS Vita, this game is also offered to the PS4 since it has platform capability.

The rest of this lineup will cater to a wider audience, since there's "Bionic Commando Rearmed 2," a sidescrolling action game, and the "LocoRoco Cocoreccho," an interactive screensaver, for the PS3. As for the PS Vita, there's the aforementioned "Switch Galaxy Ultra" and "God of War: Ghost of Sparta". The latter is originally a PSP title, and it's regarded to be the best title for any "God of War" games produced for handheld devices, being highly rated by most PSP players.

With all these games, a lot of players are still clamoring for Sony to step up the offers for the PlayStation 4. The reason for this is that the PlayStation Plus never offered larger titles for this console. With rumors of the Playstation 4K being released within the year, players are expecting that Sony will expand its support for the extra cost.
