"Persona 5" has been a subject of tease for quite some time now and Atlus has been keeping fans excited with previous announcements that the game would be released before this year ends.

After it was announced that "Persona 5" release date in Japan was pushed to 2016, North American fans were also devastated to know that Atlus also decided to push the release date for the territory to the same year.

"There's no easy way to say it, so we'll be blunt. Persona 5 will not release in 2015. The next numbered entry of the "Persona" franchise will now release in Japan and the Americas in 2016," Atlus USA said in a statement.

Many fans were not happy about it but at least Atlus are assuring fans that the delay is happening only because they want to make sure that the game is at its best and fans will love it once it gets released.

Meanwhile, Crossmap has some of the scoop on the upcoming and anticipated game just to keep the "Persona 5" hype up.

According to the outlet, the game will showcase features that most fans loved from the previous installments of "Persona," plus a few extras to make it more interesting.

One of the extra content to be featured is a battle system much like "Final Fantasy's."

Players of the game will be taken to the world of Shibuya, Tokyo, where the city boasts of magnificent buildings and busy streets. According to Crossmap's report, players can roam around the city just like how it is in an open world game.

Gameranx has also reported the identities of the main characters in the game. According to the account, the characters or Phantom Thieves are actually criminals disguised as regular students.

The protagonist is described as a sophomore who transferred to Tokyo to attend the Shujin High School. Having a mild character, he will eventually reveal his other persona, Arsene, or suggested to be Arsene Lupin, also known as the gentleman thief.

The year 2016 is something to look forward to, with the expected release of "Persona 5." The game will be available in PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
